Nike Kyrie 1 “Dungeon”

Next Wednesday we will see the release of another interesting Nike Kyrie 1, this one dubbed “Dungeon.”  It’s always surprising to learn the backstory of where design inspiration comes from for sneakers, and these are no different.  A young Kyrie Irving  would retreat to his basement to lift weights at night when it became to dark to play ball outside.  He called his basement gym the “Dungeon” because the only light he had for it was a candle.  The mostly Grey upper is highlighted by a Volt Swoosh and Liner in an attempt to connect back to that New Jersey basement.  You can expect these to be available online and at select Nike Basketball retailers.

I grew up in Sacramento, CA and completely fell in love with shoes in 3rd grade when the Air Jordan 5 was released, from that point forward kicks were a major part of my life. My sneaker collection contains various types and brands, though Jordan retro's are the majority. These days I live in Chicago with my Wife and 3 kids I enjoy sharing my sneaker hobby with them.
